Teaching

I currently teach in three major areas at UF. First, I teach undergraduate courses in advertising that prepare professionals to make use of industry research and other evidence (Digital Insights) in strategy and execution, and to use similar skills for Media Planning and buying placement. Second, I offer an experiential course for Undergraduate Research every semester for advertising (and other) majors who want to gain first-hand and in-depth experience with research. Finally, I teach Research Methods and Media Psychology courses for graduate students. Students from my courses, plus students I advise, have used skills from my courses to gain competitive awards, internships, and job placements, or gain admittance into graduate programs. Recent syllabi are available on my UF profile.

In the past, I have taught courses in media psychology, media entertainment, social media, persuasive communication, writing for media, radio production and programming, and media policy.
